A team of biochemists under the guidance of Professor Volodymyr Lushchak, the famous Ukrainian scientist, Doctor of Biology, “Scopus Awards Ukraine”, “Web of Science Award Ukraine” Laureate, the Head of the Department of Biochemistry of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University completed the German-Ukrainian Project “The cell mechanisms of brain ageing while limiting calories”.
Volodymyr Lushchak informed that he would inquire into the question of brain pathology.
It should be admitted that the postgraduate students of the Department of Biochemistry were involved in the work. The project was funded by the biggest German non-commercial organization (Volswagenstiftung) ( 94000 euro).
Professor Olga Garashchuk (the Director of the Institute of Physiology at Tubingen University, Germany), Professor Volodymyr Lushchak (the Head of the Department of Biochemistry of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University), Professor Olexij Verhratskij ( Manchester University, Great Britain) were the project coordinators.
