Online Coordination Meeting of the Project Partners

A coordination meeting of PIMReC project partners on “Adaptation of the former Pip Ivan Observatory to the requirements of the high mountain rescue center” was held on a cloud platform WebEx.

The participants of the meeting were the coordinator of the PIMRec project Rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian University Igor Tsependa, PIMReC Infrastructure Group Chairman, Yaroslav Shynkaruk, Vice-Rector of Precarpathian University, Project Management Department, Manager PIMReC Liubov Ziniuk, Project Manager on the behalf of Warsaw University Iurii Tkachuk, project partners from the Directorate of the SES of Ukraine in Ivano-Frankivsk region headed by Chief Volodymyr Chernetsky, project manager from the Mountain Voluntary Rescue Service – Beshchadska group, Carolina Kiv’or.

The purpose of this project is to establish close cooperation between the Precarpathian and Warsaw Univ The participants also emphasized the need to intensify the information component of the project, in particular, to promote the forum on the project site https://pimrec.pnu.edu.uaersities, as well as Polish and Ukrainian rescue services to enhance the safety of mountain tourism.

During the meeting, the participants discussed a number of important issues. In particular, the changes caused by the current epidemic situation, which makes it impossible to hold some mass events (information days, roundtables, training of rescuers) envisaged by the project.

The project coordinator offered the partners a modular approach to construction work. The final draft will be approved and submitted in a package with proposed calendar changes to the Joint Technical Secretariat of the “Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020” Cross-border Cooperation Program after April 25.

The parties specified and approved the ways in which they plan to overcome objective obstacles and obtained comprehensive expert opinion on the mechanisms for making amendments in the project from the financial manager of the Joint Technical Secretariat of the “Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020” Cross-border Cooperation Program, Maryna Fartushniak.
