Center of Innovative Educational Technologies ”PNU EcoSystem” started August webinars

On August 20, series of  webinars for pedagogical (scientific and pedagogical workers) on the introduction of the latest teaching methods and tools in the educational process on the basis of the Center of Innovative Educational Technologies “PNU EcoSystem” started at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. More than a thousand participants from different regions of Ukraine applied for participation – teachers of general secondary and out-of-school education institutions, college teachers, vocational and higher education academic staff, future teachers.

The training was conducted within the framework of the international project of the EU Erasmus + “Modernization of pedagogical higher education using innovative teaching tools – MoPED” (№ 586098-EPP-1-2017-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP).

The webinar “Digital tools in online and offline learning” (conducted by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Tetyana Blyznyuk) was aimed at acquainting educators with mobile applications (Kahoot and Mentimeter) for organizing formative or summative assessment of learners, and conducting serveys; and Flipgrid platform, which helps participants develop communication skills by creating short videos.

Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Olena Budnyk presented to the participants of the webinar interactive material on the use of QR-codes in various spheres of life, in particular in education; offered interesting applications for scanning and generating static and dynamic QR-codes, methods of their use in the educational process.

Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Oksana Dzhus introduced the facilitation tools in online training of the webinar participants. The trainer analyzed the difference between the facilitative approach and the traditional work with groups. Emphasis was made on its relevance in the development of modern education, in particular online learning, because facilitation skills should become an integral part of the professional development of a teacher.

At the webinar “Flipped learning as one of the modern educational technologies” (Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Viktoria Gnezdilova) the participants had the opportunity to expand their understanding of the essence of the ”flipped class” and “flipped lesson” on the basis of cooperative pedagogy.

All the webinars were aimed at enriching te practical knowledge and skills of pedagogical staff to intensify the learning process using innovative teaching technologies, digital tools and resources, which is especially important in the context of distance learning. According to the participants, online communication has its advantages, as it enables active pedagogical communication and professional development of educators from Kherson, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Volyn, Lviv, Odessa, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Transcarpathia, Precarpathia, and other regions of the country.
