International project “Around Language and Literature: 9 lectures for Polish Studies Scholars” continues with new activities

The next online lecture within the international project “Around Language and Literature: 9 lectures for Polish Stduies Scholars” was conducted in the university. The project is implemented by the department of Slavic languages at the Faculty of Philology of Precarpathian national Vasyl Stefanyk University in collaboration with the Institute of applied Polish studies of the University of Warsaw (Poland). 

Almost 200 participants attended the lecture by Dr. Adriana Prizel-Kania (Jagiellonian University). Among the participants were students, lecturers and teachers from academic centres of Ukraine. The lecture “How the brain learns?” was about neurobiological processes in the context of learning foreign languages. The lecturer, Dr. Adriana Prizel-Kania, is an associate of the Institute of Polish studies of the Jagiellonian University, a graduate of Polish studies and speech therapy department, author of multiple academic articles in the sphere of glottodidactics, Polish language textbooks and a monograph on the development of listening comprehension skills (2012).

This project is implemented within the framework of the programme of the Polish language promotion by the National agency of academic exchanges under the sponsorship of the Polish Consulate-General in Lviv. The lectures within the international project “Around Language and Literature: 9 lectures for Polish Studies Scholars” will be held until June 2022.  

One of the outcomes of the project was the publication of the special issue of «Poradnik Językowy» Journal, published by the University of Warsaw, edited by professor Stanisław Dubisz: “Polish-Ukrainian Polish studies: language, literature, culture”, which included articles by both Polish and Ukrainian philologists.
