University student Iryna Fedoriv becomes the world rowing champion

The young athlete Iryna Fedoriv, who entered Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University to study at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, has won a gold medal at the World Championship among youth and juniors in Szeged (Hungary) in mixed canoe-deuce rowing at a distance of 500 meters. Our athlete competed together with Yaroslav Verblyud (Poltava region).

Another championship medal, a bronze one,   has been won by Iryna Fedoriv in canoe-quarter rowing at a distance of 500 meters. The Ukrainian sports team included such athletes as Iryna Fedoriv (Ivano-Frankivsk region), Tetyana Smylovenko (Poltava region), Ksenia Romanchuk (Ivano-Frankivsk region), Khrystyna Osipchuk (Lviv region).

It should be noted that Iryna Fedoriv has participated in the championship as part of the Ukrainian national team which included 43 Ukrainian rowers from 16 regions of our country.
