Walburg Habsburg Douglas, vice-president of the International Pan-European Union, as well as Reingard Klochek, secretary-general of the International Pan-European Union, have visited Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
The International Pan-European Union is the oldest European united movement, founded in the 1920s to promote the idea of European integration.
First, they met with acting as the rector of the Precarpathian National University Igor Tsependa, also with the first vice-rector Valentyna Yakubiv and the director of the Department of Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration Viktor Kimakovych.
Ihor Tsependa told the guests about the university, the activities of the university’s astronomical and meteorological observatory on Mount Pip Ivan, as well as the prospects of the International Youth Meeting Center in Mykulychyn. He stressed on the importance of these projects for young people and invited the delegation to visit these facilities.
The meeting was followed by lectures for the students.
