In Lviv, two project teams of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University took part in the final event of the Cross-border Cooperation Program PL-BY-UA 2014-2020 (priority “Heritage”).
The event was held in the House of Polish Culture Promotion, renovated within the framework of the Galician Scene project.
On June 26, it opened its doors for the first time for the capitalization event of the Program entitled “Borderland is our common home”. It was attended by more than 300 people, among them project beneficiaries, including PNU, representatives of cultural and educational institutions, and the general public.
The first project, “Invisible Heritage: Sharing and Implementing Best Practices for Access to Culture for the Visually Impaired”, was presented by Associate Professors of the Department of Music Education and Conducting Methods Khrystyna Kazymyriv and Tetiana Maskovych. They introduced the participants and guests of the event to technologies that allow visual art to be adapted for the visually impaired, and also held a creative workshop “Art on the Fingertips” where they demonstrated the “magic” of creating a tactile drawing.
The second project, “Gateway to the Central Horhany: Intercultural Dialogue on the Polish-Ukrainian Borderland”, was implemented by the Carpathian Institute of Analytics (coordinated by Olha Maksymovych). The delegation of this project consisted of Nataliia Basarab, a leading expert at the Carpathian Institute of Analytics, and Svitlana Mitsak, a coordinator from Broshniv-Osada territorial community. The project participants presented an exhibition of retro photographs by the famous photographer Yaroslav Koval from Tsineva based on the created tourist route “Gateway to the Central Horhany”.
