Today, on December 5, a joint meeting of the presidium of the National Union of Local Historians of Ukraine, its regional branch, and the university’s faculty and staff, headed by Acting Rector Ihor Tsependa, took place at the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
At the event, the head of the National Union of Local Historians of Ukraine, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, and Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Oleksandr Reient, together with Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Oleksandr Lysenko, presented honorary awards to the university’s staff.
In particular, Ihor Tsependa, Acting Rector of the University, was awarded the Mikhailo Sikorsky Prize, named after the Hero of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Velykochyi, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, received the Dmytro Yavornytsky Prize.
Honorary certificates for significant achievements in the field of local history, the preservation of material and spiritual cultural monuments of Ukraine were awarded to: Ihor Hurak, Dean of the Faculty of History, Political Science, and International Relations, Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations; Mykola Vitenko, Associate Professor of the Department of History of Central and Eastern Europe; Yurii Dovhan, Associate Professor of the Department of World History; Oleh Yehreshii, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian History and History Teaching Methods; Oleh Zhernokleeiev, Professor and Head of the Department of World History; Andrii Korolyk, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian History and History Teaching Methods; Vasyl Marchuk, Professor of the Department of Political Institutions and Processes; Ihor Raikivskyi, Professor and Head of the Department of Ukrainian History and History Teaching Methods.
Additionally, the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional organization of the National Union of Local Historians of Ukraine, Mykhailo Kosylo, presented named commemorative medals “Volodymyr Hrabovetskyi” to Professor of the Department of Ethnology and Archaeology Mykola Kuhutyak and “Mykhailo Holovaty” to Professor of the Department of Political Science Ivan Monolatiy.
