Our student, Dmytro Holinei, a representative of the 3rd year of the specialty “Secondary Education” (Physical Culture) of Kolomyia Educational and Scientific Institute of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, won a gold medal at the Ukrainian Powerlifting Championship, which took place in Kolomyia at the “Locomotive” sports complex from February 2 to 9, 2025.
At the competition which was attended by athletes of all age groups from all regions of the country Dmytro Holinei won a gold medal in the weight category up to 120 kg, showing a triathlon result of 945 kg.
In addition, he received a small gold medal in squats (385 kg) and a small gold medal in deadlift (337.5 kg). According to the results of the competition, the Ukrainian national powerlifting team is formed, which will soon represent our country at international competitions.
It should be mentioned that the graduates of our university Victor Holinei and Victoria Kostyuk who won silver medals also performed at this championship.
