Ukrainian Diaspora Grateful to PNU for Work on History Textbook

On 12 February, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University welcomed its alumna, Liubov Liubchyk, a graduate of the Faculty of Philology and the current Chair of the Ukrainian World Congress Educational Coordinating Council.

During a meeting with the Acting Rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Ihor Tsependa, and the Dean of the Faculty of History, Political Science, and International Relations, Ihor Hurak, Liubchyk expressed her gratitude for the university’s collaboration on the Information and Methodological Manual on the History of Ukraine, designed to support teachers in the diaspora. She also shared her thoughts on future cooperation involving faculty members from the Faculty of History, Political Science, and International Relations and the Faculty of Philology.

In February 2022, Liubchyk spoke about the new challenges facing the Ukrainian World Congress, particularly the significant increase in compatriots abroad who do not speak Ukrainian.

For his part, Acting Rector Ihor Tsependa thanked Liubchyk for her valuable and timely initiative aimed at strengthening educational efforts for Ukrainian children who, for various reasons—primarily Russian aggression—have been forced to leave Ukraine.
