Recently, the delegation of our University paid an educational visit to Cyprus University (Nicosia) within the framework of the international project “Modernization of pedagogical higher education by using innovative teaching tools” (MoPED), program EU Erasmus+KA2 – Development of higher school potential (№586098-EPP-1-2017-1-UA-EPPKA2- CBHE-JP). The members of the delegation – Liubov Ziniuk, the project coordinator, head of the project management department; Olha Hrygoriv, the project financial manager, Associate Professor; Tetiana Blyzniuk, a member of the project academic group, Associate Professor – took part in the training of organizing educational process and modern innovative teaching technologies.
Representatives of other universities – partners of the project (Cyprus University (Cyprus), Deusto University (Spain), AGH University of Science and Technologies (Poland), Borys Hrinchenko Kyiv University (Ukraine), Universities from Pereyaslav-Khmelnitski, Uman, Luhansk, Joint Venture “Quality Ukraine” (Ukraine) took part in the event.
The participants of the delegation got acquainted with their Cyprus colleagues’ educational experience related to such innovative teaching forms and tools as “The Black-box”, research environment Go-Lab, program Inspiration and Kahoot, electronic educational platform Blackboard, online educational games for elementary school, etc.
Professors from Cyprus University told about the application of the research STEAM-learning (Inquiry Based Learning) and shared specific techniques of teaching and discussing problematic issues online.
The participants were involved in various activities: watching videos, discussions, working in groups, working out advertisement in Padlet, experimenting in online teaching, etc. They also got familiarized with means of mobile teaching “glide”. In the end, everybody received certificates.
Back in 2017 it was Precarpathian National University that won the contest and for the first time in the history of the program Tempus and Erasmus+ became a grant-winner and coordinator of the project “Modernization of pedagogical higher education by using innovative teaching tools” (MoPED) within the program EU Erasmus+KA2 – Development of higher school potential (№586098-EPP-1-2017-1-UA-EPPKA2- CBHE-JP). The project is supposed to have a great influence on the quality of higher pedagogical education in Ukraine and will improve digital and didactic competences of future school teachers, which corresponds to the requirements of pedagogical higher school and supports educational reforms in Ukraine.
