The exhibition- gallery of the Centre of Fine, Decorative and Applied Art ” Artists of Prycarpattia 20-21 centuries ” of our university was visited by special guests – members of the Ivano- Frankivsk city organization of the Ukrainian Society of the Blind . This became possible thanks to the Poland- Belarus- Ukraine cross- border cooperation project 2014-2020 ” Invisible Heritage ” implemented by the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in cooperation with the Ioan Paul the second Catholic University of Lublin ( Republic of Poland).
The tour was timed to coincide with World Braile Day, which is celebrated on January 4 all over the world. The exhibits were presented by Nadiya Babiy, Candidate of Art History , Associate Professor of the Department of Design and Theory of Art.
Some works of art in the gallery using Braile technology are adapted for the visually impaired .
Oksana Logvin noted that thanks to the project ” they take care of us, consult with us and strive to make world more accessible to us ”.
During the tour, members of the Ivano- Frankivsk city organization o of the Society of the Blind had the opportunity to hear a lot of interesting information about works of art and touch the exhibits of the gallery.
Project manager, Candidate of Art History, Associate Professor of Music Education and Conducting Khrystyna Kazymyriv noted that the project will continue to develop.
