On June 19, 2023, the international scientific online seminar “Education And Cultural Heritage In The Face Of Global Challenges” was held at the Pedagogical Faculty. It was initiated by the Bohdan Stuparyk Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management and the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (Republic of Poland).
The purpose of the seminar is to expand international cooperation, exchange work experience, discuss current issues of education and ethnocultural heritage in the context of modern global challenges. The topic of the seminar covered basic research and current issues in the field of education, pedagogy and cultural studies.
The scientists discussed the following topics: a cultural approach to the development of the Carpathian region; leadership in innovation and cultural practices; peculiarities of reforming higher education institutions of Ukraine under martial law; the educational potential of the church and secular bells; theory and practice of coaching; the teacher’s culture of communication in the educational process; monitoring and evaluation of the quality of higher education: Ukrainian and foreign context; the role and significance of the regional ethnographic component in the system of education and upbringing of modern youth; ethnographic studies of the material and spiritual culture of the Lublin region; ways of archiving and documenting folk culture in the eastern cultural borderland (southern Podlasie); Polish traditional culture, Polish linguistics and anthropology of the city; ethnomusicological studies of traditional culture, etc.
The discussion of the declared issues was accompanied by lively discussion, scientific research and the establishment of close contacts between Polish and Ukrainian scientists.
