At the Embassy of Ukraine in the French Republic, the rector of the Vasyl Stefanyk National University of Prykarpattia, Ihor Tsependa, presented a diploma and the mantle of an honorary doctor of the university to the distinguished French historian, Slavologist, translator, publicist, teacher of the universities of Nancy, Lille and Paris and Panthéon-Sorbonne — Professor Daniel Beauvois.
The high title was awarded to Daniel Beauvois in accordance with the resolution of the Academic Council of PNU dated January 25, 2022 for an outstanding personal contribution to the study of key problems of the history of Ukraine, Poland and other countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Ukrainian-Polish relations, as well as to the formation of Ukrainian national identity on at the current stage, which is especially relevant in the conditions of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
