The Ukrainian 3×3 basketball team stopped short of the European University Games awards. The women’s 3×3 basketball team of Ukraine, represented by girls from V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, finished their performances at the European University Games by taking a high 4th place.
The Ukrainian women started the last competitive day with a victory over the team from the Hungarian University of Sports Sciences, which allowed them to reach the semi-finals.
Unfortunately, in the semi-final match, the Ukrainian women lost to the University of Riga named after Stradin (17:5), and in the match for the bronze awards, the Ukrainian women met the host team of the competition – the University of Secheny Istvan.
This match turned out to be very even, but this time fortune did not smile on our basketball players. With a score of 15:16, the Ukrainian women were defeated, taking fourth place at the European University Games.
