University lecturers participated in a summer school in Poland

Thanks to our University’s participation in the NAWA project, specialists from the Centre for Innovative Educational Technologies ‘PNU-EcoSystem’, Associate Professors Kateryna Fomin and Victoria Gniezdilova, took part in the AMU Summer School “Internationalization and Internationalization at Home through Virtual Exchange: Creating a Motivating Environment for Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)”, which took place in two stages: 07.07.-13.07.2024 and 14.07.-20.07.2024 at the Dębina Palace in Poland.  The training sessions, held in English, were organized by the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.

Our colleagues, together with representatives of various universities in Ukraine, got acquainted with global trends and challenges in higher education, the peculiarities of introducing elements of internationalization through virtual student exchanges and the organisation of joint international online learning. Polish colleagues held informative lectures and workshops: Kostiantyn Mazur, Anna Basińska, Katarzyna Radke, Anna Kwaśniewska. The professional experience and opportunities they shared have broadened the vision of the future of Ukrainian higher education. The initiative of Adam Mickiewicz University allowed Ukrainian scientists to join an interesting cooperation, a global scientific flow, and to feel not isolated in this whirlwind of war. Kateryna Fomin (Faculty of Education) and Victoria Gniezdilova (Faculty of Natural Sciences) are proud to be involved in integrating Ukrainian science into the European educational space. They are grateful for the warm welcome and sincere words of support to Professor Rafal Witkowski, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Adam Mickiewicz University, as well as to the Research and International Relations Department of Precarpathian University for their assistance in their professional development.

The participants of the Summer School received certificates of professional development for 40 academic hours.
