European Parliament Hosts First Study Visit for Ukrainian Students

From October 15 to 17, the European Parliament hosted 12 interpreting students, including four first- and second-year master’s students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

The visit was organized within the grant program “Strengthening of Capacity for Conference Interpreters’ Training at PNU 2024-2025” to support the training of qualified Ukrainian interpreters. During the three-day visit, participants gained practical knowledge about interpreting at the European Parliament and the European Commission.

They also had an opportunity to attend a meeting with participants of the Young Political Leaders from Ukraine program to discuss the need for Ukrainian interpreters in the context of EU integration.

This visit was an important step in developing professional skills of young Ukrainian conference interpreters and strengthening their connections with European institutions.

We sincerely thank our European partners for providing students with this wonderful opportunity to learn firsthand about the work of conference interpreters.

The visit was organized with the financial and organization support from the European Parliament and DG LINC.
