Our students are the winners of the World and European Boxing Championships

From October 26 to November 3, the U-19 World Boxing Championship took place in Pueblo, Colorado, USA. Bozhena Melnyk, a second-year student of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations at our university, won a bronze medal in the up to 54 kg weight category, representing the Ukrainian national team. Her coach is Anton Kosse from Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Children and Youth Sports School.

  Myroslav Karabyn, Vice President of the Ukrainian Boxing Association, and Yulian Moskalenko, Honorary Member of the Association, headed the Ukrainian delegation.

  Another remarkable achievement belongs to Darya-Olga Gutaryna, a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, who became the European U- 23 Boxing Champion in Sofia, Bulgaria, in the up to 52 kg category. Her victory was a worthy testament to her perseverance, and she is also coached by Anton Kosse.

  Nataliia Merinova, a student of the Finance Department, also climbed to the highest step of the podium at the U-23 European Championship in the up to 66 kg weight category. Her coach is Serhii Danyliv.

  Vasyl Tkachuk, a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, demonstrated a powerful result by winning the U-23 European Championship in the 92+ category. In the final, Vasyl defeated his opponent from Greece, showcasing brilliant skills under the guidance of coach Taras Vintonyak.

  Ashot Kocharyan, another student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at our university, won the silver medal of the U-23 European Championships in the up to 86 kg weight category.
