Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian University sincerely congratulates our student of the Faculty of Economics, Mariia Aniychyn, on her outstanding achievement! Mariia became the silver medalist in the women’s competition in the big air freestyle discipline at the 2025 Winter Universiade, which is taking place in Turin, Italy.
Freestyle, in particular the big air discipline, is a spectacular and dynamic sport in which athletes perform complex tricks while jumping from a springboard, demonstrating not only skill, but also a creative approach to the execution of each element.
Mariia won a silver medal with an excellent result of 89.25, losing only to Victoire Tillier from France, who scored 91.00 points.
Another French athlete, Amelie Cassel, won the bronze medal with a score of 84.75.
It is nice to note that among men in this discipline, Ukrainian Oleh Boyko also became the silver medalist with a score of 86.00 points.
Thus, Ukrainian athletes made a brilliant silver double in freestyle!
