A solemn ceremony of awarding the laureates of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council Prize and the Mayor’s Scholarship for gifted students of higher education institutions of the city was held at the Catholic Lyceum of St. Basil the Great. This year, the 100 best students of higher education institutions in the town received scholarships. A one-time prize was awarded to 21 first-year students who passed the NMT with 190 points or more. The most numerous representatives were students of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, and the number of scholarship holders – 48. Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas took second place with 23 students. The third place was taken by Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University – 17 students.
In addition to the “mayor’s” scholarships, twenty-one more students were awarded prizes by the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council. The prizes were awarded to those students whose NMT rating score was higher than 190 points. PNU students won the largest number of city council prizes.
