
On April 1, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University hosted a hackathon aimed at generating innovative ideas to improve the quality of student life.
The event brought together students from various academic programs who worked in teams to develop business ideas, create business models, and present prototypes.
The facilitator of the event was Finbar Carter, Coordinator of Entrepreneurial Initiatives at the University of East Anglia (United Kingdom). He conducted an introductory training session on the use of the Business Model Canvas and provided support to participants throughout the day.
The teams received mentoring support from both lecturers and practitioners, in particular from Liliia Turovska, Antonina Tomashevska, Iryna Hryhoruk, Taras Malyshivskyi, Tetiana Hrynyshak, Tetiana Topolnytska, Sofiia Kafka, Volodymyr Kurtianyk, Tetiana Solodzhuk, and Volodymyr Kotsiubynskyi.
The jury, consisting of Mykhailo Sheludiakov (Business Analyst, EPAM Systems), Halyna Hryvnak (Fin Impact), Svitlana Ivasyshyn (Youth Council at the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration), Yuliia Liakhovych (“New Economy of Ivano-Frankivsk”), and First Vice-Rector Valentyna Yakubiv, evaluated the innovativeness, feasibility, and potential of the proposed ideas.
The winners of the hackathon are:
1st place – team PNU Planform (UAH 5000)
2nd place – team VoCo (UAH 3000)
3rd place – teams Chaos and Nest4you (UAH 2000 each)
