On May 7, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian (Carpathian) National University hosted a large-scale educational event — STEFANYK OPEN DAY: Master’s Level – Level Up, Startup, and Top Investment! The event was organized for students planning to continue their education at the second (Master’s) level.
The event was attended by fourth-year students, bachelor’s degree graduates, and anyone interested in pursuing further academic and professional development. The program was rich and focused on the practical needs of young people.
At the start of the discussion panels, participants were welcomed by Acting Rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Ihor Tsependa.
In his speech, he urged young people to reflect on the importance of Master’s education and to make an informed decision about their future in Ukraine:
“We are starting these discussions with you to reach a common understanding: why pursue a Master’s degree and why stay in Ukraine. These are two questions that concern many today. We want you to succeed, and for that, it is important to clearly define your goals: is a Bachelor’s degree enough for you to start working or go abroad, or is it worth continuing your studies here at home.
Yes, there is a war in Ukraine, and the security situation is difficult. But even in such conditions, we must think strategically and look to the future. Young people have tremendous opportunities — exchange programs, dual degrees, international cooperation. And it is precisely the Master’s level that gives you a competitive advantage. It not only allows you to gain deeper knowledge but also offers the opportunity to change your field, tailor your education to your personal experience and the job market.
Our university offers a flexible approach. You can shape your own educational path — choose the subjects that interest you with the support of a tutor. We are also ready to accommodate your work schedule and hold classes after 5:00 PM. This unique flexibility allows you to combine studies with work.
We’re not chasing student numbers — instead, we focus on quality education. It’s important to us that you become real professionals who will help rebuild the country. If positions are held by people without knowledge, it would be a tragedy. With a Master’s degree, you don’t just get a diploma — you learn to think, analyze, and make decisions. You will be prepared for challenges and already stand a head above your peers in the job market.”
As part of STEFANYK OPEN DAY, discussion panels and presentations of Master’s programs were held across four educational tracks:
