The English-language collective monograph The Space of Inclusive Education: Voices from Ukraine and Beyond (edited by Olena Budnyk and Serhii Sydoriv), published in 2024 by the renowned academic publisher Brill, has recently been indexed in the international scientometric database Scopus.
This marks the first collaboration between educators from our university and one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious academic publishers, offering the Ukrainian scholarly community a platform to present its achievements in the field of inclusive education—including those developed amid the challenges of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
During the monograph’s presentation, Acting Rector of the University, Professor Ihor Tsependa, emphasized the international standing of Brill as a scholarly publisher and the importance of inclusive education research for Ukrainian institutions. He also highlighted its role in the modernization of teacher education in Ukraine:
“This is a body of knowledge we are eager to share with our European and American colleagues. English-language publications are of immense value in spreading the ideas and perspectives currently being discussed within Ukraine’s educational space.”
