Recently, the US-Ukrainian Foundation awarded the winners of Biotech Initiative Travel Grants program. It is worth noting that the winners were determined on a competitive basis by the US Audit Committee.
11 Ukrainian researchers received travel grants for foreign trips. Among the winners of the program there is also the scientist of the Precarpathian National University, Associate Professor of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology of the Natural Sciences Faculty, Oleg Lushchak. Our scientist received a grant to travel to Groningen (the Netherlands) to participate in the 3rd Molecular Biology of Aging Forum which will be held on October 10-12, 2019.
The initiative of the US-Ukraine Biotechnology Fund, which aims at increasing the strength and visibility of the Ukrainian biotechnology research sector, provides financial assistance to Ukrainian biotechnology researchers that will promote their professional development, enhance their reputation and the reputation of Ukraine in biotechnology, as well as encourages scientific collaboration and commercialization of technology. The winners can use the financial rewards to attend conferences, courses, workshops or other events for their professional development.
