On January 13, a cooperation agreement was signed between Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University and Vyhoda Village United Territorial Community on the implementation of state and regional education programs in Ukraine, the State Strategy for Regional Development for 2021-2027.
The partnership document was signed by the rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University Ihor Tsependa and the head of Village United Territorial Community Mykola Matsalak.The proposals for the preparation of university specialists projects that would contribute to the development of the community and ways of their implementation were discussed at the meeting. The meeting was also attended by Oleksandr Matusevych, the Deputy of Ukraine, Roman Bubna, the Director of the Precarpathian University Science Park, Svitlana Kropelnytska, the Director of the Project and Education Center “AGENTS OF CHANGE” at the Precarpathian University, Associate Professor of Finance at the Faculty of Economics, Tetyana Myhovych, Specialist at CHANGES AGENCIES, Associate Professor of Finance at the Faculty of Economics and Lyudmyla Vasyliv, the Head of the Finance Department of Vyhoda Village Council.
“The university already has some experience of cooperation with the United Territorial Community of the region. The symbiosis of the university and the community today is the most optimal. On the one hand, no one knows the region as well as its inhabitants. On the other hand, we have specialists and experience of grant work, which will help the regions to develop. Influence on the development of the region is one of the priority directions of the strategy of the Precarpathian University”, – the rector Igor Tsependa said.
He also underlined the importance of support from the authorities, the parliamentary corps of initiatives and projects of the university, which are implemented for the benefit of the people of the region. In particular, he thanked Oleksandr Matusevych for help and assistance in resolving issues of the university’s activity.
During the conversation, the Deputy of Ukraine Oleksandr Matusevych noted that in the cooperation framework between Vyhoda United Territorial Community and the Precarpathian University, special attention should be paid to the preparation and implementation of projects in such areas as rural and recreational tourism.
“The initiative of the Precarpathian University to help communities is very good. The need for infrastructure development and recreation still exists today. It is beneficial for the community to be taken care of by specialists. We have experience of writing projects. The community and the deputy corps, the executive committee of the community should use the help of the Precarpathian University and implement more and more projects, seek funds for their co-financing, ” the Deputy of Ukraine said.
Svitlana Kropelnytska, the Director of the Project and Education Center “AGENTS OF CHANGE” of the Precarpathian University, Associate Professor of Finance, Faculty of Economics, suggested at this stage of cooperation to distribute the implementation of the bicycle route project developed by students of economics. She also noted that currently more than 60 students living in the Dolynshchyna United Territorial Community study at various specialties at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
“Student participation in community life is a good practice. After all, there is an opportunity to train specialists for their community. Young people are convinced that their ideas are different from the vision of the older generation but of course they need experience to adjust their actions and set competent framework. This is a combination of a youth idea and experience” Svitlana Kropelnytska said.
