On February 26-28, the XXIV-th Kyiv International Wrestling Tournament in honour of outstanding Ukrainian wrestlers and coaches was held in the capital’s Palace of Sports. This year, 250 wrestlers from 35 countries took part in the tournament.
Among the participants of the international tournament there were the students of Vasyl Fedoryshyn Academy of Freestyle Wrestling of Precarpathia.
Our student-athlete Andriy Dzhelep won a silver medal in the 61 kg weight category. It is worth admitting that Kyiv International Wrestling Tournament in honour of outstanding Ukrainian wrestlers and coaches is the starting point for the Olympic Games selection.
