Today on April 13 there was a meeting of the Rector of the University, Professor Ihor Tsependa, with the coordinators and participants of the students’ publishing project “Amidst the Text: Journalists for Journals”.

The future journalists handed the Rector the copy of the second edition of the project under the same title “Amidst the Text: Journalists for Journals”. This book has recently been published due to the financial assistance of the University. Some copies of the project were handed to the Scientific Library. This artistic-journalistic edition is meant for journalists, teachers, pupils, students of the higher educational institutions and all those who are interested in the media activity.
During the meeting a lot of questions and ideas concerning the students’ project were discussed. The Rector of the University Ihor Tsependa assured that the University would continue supporting the students’ initiatives and the publishing projects in particular.
“The students’ publishing project is a good initiative. It gives you, the future journalists, the possibility to develop, to acquire professional skills. This is good and necessary experience. That is why you should involve in your work your fellow students, other young people that discover journalism for themselves,” the Professor Ihor Tsependa said.
The project “Amidst the Text: Journalists for Journals” started in 2018 and was initiated within the academic disciplines “Publishing Management” and “Publishing” aiming at the improvement of students’ abilities to formulate, edit and compile their materials. The author of the project idea is Hanna Prystai, Senior Teacher of the Department of Journalism. The manager of the project is Hanna Marchuk, Professor of the Department of Journalism.
