The rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University met with Yaroslav Kalinovsky, the rector of Ivan Paulo II Catholic University of Lublin

Together with the director of the Center for European Projects, Leszek Buller, the rector thanked the rector for the opportunity to hold the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Security in Crisis Situations in the Border Regions of Poland  and Ukraine” on the basis of the university.

Ivan Paul II Catholic University of Lublin is the oldest university in Lublin. It was founded in 1918 and has a special status – it is a non-state Catholic university with state rights and is financed from the budget of Poland on the terms of state universities. It is one of the most important centers of Catholic thought in Poland, has a significant impact on the countrу’s science and culture, and is considered to be a university that is developing extremely dynamically. This is a modern university in which, in addition to theology, philosophy, law, natural, social, humanitarian and exact sciences are studied.

The rector Ihor Tsependa informed a colleague about the international projects of the university. In particular, about the project “Adaptation of the former observatory on Mount Pip Ivan to the needs of the high-altitude rescue training center” (PIMReC), the implementation of which is being completed by PNU together with partners with the support of the Cross-Border Cooperation Program Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020, and about the development of the International Meeting Center of student youth of Ukraine and Poland in Mykulychyn.

The rector of the Ivan Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Myroslav Kalinovsky, also spoke about his educational institution and interesting projects of the recent years. He organized a short tour of the university for the guests. At the end of the meeting, Myroslav Kalinovsky invited his colleague to make a note in the Book of Distinguished Guests.
