Students of the department of teaching methodology of fine and decorative and applied arts and design participated in the “Erasmus +” mobility programme at the Sopot Academy of Applied Sciences. The project was implemented from May 22 to May 26, 2023. Professor Bohdan Tymkiv, Head of the Department of Teaching Methodology of FDAA and Design, was appointed a curator of the student group. Part of the project took place online, and 5 days – offline.
At the beginning of the programme, a meeting was held with the Rector of the Sopot Academy of Applied Sciences, Professor Tereza Martyniuk, during which Professor Bohdan Tymkiv organized a presentation and talked about the activities of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Arts. In addition, Professor Tymkiv presented the Academy with his own monograph, which became a valuable addition to the Academy’s research fund.
In addition to the above-mentioned meeting, an international exhibition entitled “Integration of Ukrainian and Polish art: fine arts and design” was opened. This event was organized in order to promote interaction and experience exchanging between students. Thanks to the active participation and creative efforts of students and lecturers of the department, the exhibition became a platform for the presentation of the best achievements in the field of art and design, and also contributed to the strengthening of cultural ties between Ukraine and Poland.
Students majoring in Secondary Education (Fine Arts) gave worshops on teaching methodology of Ethnodesign and Decorative and Applied Arts for students of the Sopot Academy of Applied Sciences.
These events, held with great enthusiasm and careful preparation, reflect our firm faith in the development of the academic environment and contribute to the strengthening of cooperation between universities, in particular the Sopot Academy of Applied Sciences and the Educational and Scientific Institute of Arts.
We would like to remind that the programme is implemented according to the cooperation agreement between the Carpathian National University and the Sopot Academy of Applied Sciences.
