University teachers completed a scientific internship at the University of Lumsa in Rome

Invited by colleagues from the University of Lumsa (Italy) on June 26, 2023 Professor of the Department of Primary Education of the Precarpathian University Elena Budnik took part in an international conference on the topic: “Education for peace”.

Together with Mariola Kozubek, a professor at the Silesian University in Katowice, the results of cooperation in the scientific and educational spheres of both universities were presented. Special attention was focused on peculiarities of the teachers’ work at the Precarpathian University under martial law and the necessity to provide pedagogical support to students in conditions of war.

The participants spoke about the important mission of universities – dialogue and cooperation for the sake of peace and unity of citizens, supported by the Global Educational Pact.

Participation in the conference was part of the program of scientific and educational internship of teachers of the pedagogical faculty (professor of the Department of Primary Education of the Precarpathian University Elena Budnik and associate professor Kateryna Fomin) at the University of Lumsa from June 15 to 21. Scientific consultant – professor of the Department of Didactics, Methods of Teaching and Special Pedagogy, Director of the School of Postgraduate Education for the Development of Civil Society Maria Cinque kindly got them acquainted with the history of the second oldest University in Rome, teachers, educational programs for training specialists, in particular teachers.
