For shooting down russian “Kalibr” missiles, a military pilot was awarded the “Victory” order at Precarpathian National University

At the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, in support of the All-Ukrainian volunteer project “Glory to Heroes!”, a military pilot Dmytro Shkarevsky was awarded the “Victory” order for shooting down Russian “Kalibr” missiles. The project coordinator is volunteer and associate professor of the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences, Irina Zakutynska.

During the meeting, along with the students, there were present professors of the department Yaroslava Atamanyuk, Yosyp Hiletsky, and the dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Viktor Sluchyk. Dmytro Shkarevsky is a Ukrainian military pilot, a captain of the 114th Separate Brigade of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and a participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The “Victory” order is a publicly recognized all-Ukrainian non-state award of special status, awarded for combat merits, courage, bravery, courage, and heroism demonstrated in conditions of military action. It is awarded exclusively to defenders of Ukraine. The motto of the award is “From a glorious past, through heroic present, to a worthy future”.
