Ruslan Zapukhliak

Zapukhliak Ruslan Ihorovych – Candidate of Physical and Mathematical sciences, Associate Professor.

He was born on March 21,1974 in Ivano-Frankivsk. In 1991 he entered the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Ivano-Frankivsk Pedagogical Institute named after Vasyl Stefanyk and graduated from it with honors in 1996.  At that time it was Precarpathia  University named after Vasyl Stefanyk. Zapukhliak Ruslan Ihorovych  specialized in «Physics and Mathematics». His great progress in studies and scientific work, which he had started when he was a second year student,  brought him George Soros Grant and President of Ukraine Scholarship.

Being a senior student he started his career as a teacher of Physics, Mathematics and Astronomy at Spasky  secondary school in Rozhnyativ district,  Ivano-Frankivsk region.

In 1996  Zapukhliak Ruslan Ihorovych became a postgraduate student at Vasyl Stefanyk National Precarpathian University. He specialized in «Physics of Solid State». In 1999 he presented and defended his PhD thesis and became Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. From 1999 till 2000 he worked as Academic Secretary  at the Physicochemical Institute. In 2000 he accepted the post of assistant professor at the Department of Radio Physics and Electronics. In 2002 he become  associate professor at the same department.

In 2003 Zapukhliak Ruslan Ihorovych won a grant for studying abroad from the International German Academic Exchange Service and studied at Chemnitz Technical University.

Since September 2017 Zapukhliak Ruslan Ihorovych has occupied the post of Vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work at Vasyl Stefanyk National Precarpathian University.

His successful scientific and teaching career brought him the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers Grant for Young Scientists twice.

His sphere of scientific interest is technology of growing and investigating thermoelectric properties of mono crystals and films PbTe and their alloys, and using them for making electronic devices and information technology equipment.

Zapukhliak Ruslan Ihorovych is the author of 50 scientific works, 6 manuals on General Physics, Electronics and Information Technology. He is also a co-author of one monograph and has more than 10 certificates of authorship and patents on his inventions. He supervises graduate and post-graduate students’ work and the preparation of Master’s Degree theses and PhD theses which are regularly and successfully defended.

In 2017 for many years of good work Zapukhliak Ruslan Ihorovych was awarded with the Gratitude from the Ministry of Education and Science.

Zapukhliak Ruslan Ihorovych is married and has a son and a daughter.
