Professor Myroslav Voloshchuk, Doctor of Historical Sciences and Chair of the Department of World History at the Faculty of History, Political Science, and International Relations of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, participated in the International Congress “Rethinking Ukraine and Europe: New Challenges for Historians,” which took place at Vilnius University in September 15 – 17, 2023.
On September 16, 2023, Professor Myroslav Voloshchuk delivered a presentation on the topic “The Ruthenian Settlers in the Cities of ‘Younger Europe’ in the Twelfth–Fourteenth Centuries: a Comparative Context” during the session on “Urban History.”
This scholarly event contributes to a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of Western Ukrainian history, the integration of Ukrainian history into the broader European context in the postmodern era, and the promotion and revitalization of Ukraine’s past in contemporary historical discourse, within the context of Ukraine’s integration into the European Union.
