The international conference “Information and Communication Technologies in Education, Research and Industrial Applications” was held at the university

Today, on September 20, the “Information and Communication Technologies in Education, Research and Industrial Applications” (ICTERI 2023) conference was officially opened at the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies “PNU Ecosystem” (MoPED). The Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of the Precarpathian National University Serhiy Sharyn, co-founder and funder of the conference, Rector of the Kherson State University Professor Oleksandr Spivakovskyi, Professor of Semantic Technologies of the Department of Computer Sciences of the Ukrainian Catholic University Vadym Yermolayev, as well as teachers, scientists, international colleagues and everyone willing were present. In total, more than 100 participants from 10 countries registered, 20% of whom were physically present.

Serhii Sharyn, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, greeted the participants of the conference: “On behalf of the Rector of the Precarpathian National University Igor Tsependa and our colleagues, allow me to greet all the participants of the conference. More than a year ago, the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, and unfortunately, the war on the territory of the European continent continues. It is crucial for us to continue developing the scientific field. The mixed format of the conference allows establishing international cooperation, and our university has always supported such projects, as well as European and global initiatives. I wish everyone a successful conference, productive discussions, and I hope that the next conference will be held completely offline in peaceful and free Ukraine.”

The program included 2 keynote speeches, 4 thematic sections, a postgraduate symposium, a poster section, and 2 workshops. Ninety reports by authors from 11 countries in Europe and Asia were submitted. During the conference, the participants discussed current issues of modern science, in particular, in ontology, machine learning, big data, IT education and IT in education.
