The Pre-Carpathian National University is actively involved in the projects of the European Union program ERASMUS +, which supports international cooperation, partnership, activities and mobility in the field of education, training, youth and sport. In particular, a group of students from the faculty of the university, accompanied by teachers in the framework of youth exchange between the university basketball teams under the project Youth exchanges ERASMUS+, Eu T@P-in “European Training @ Pineta”, is now at the weekly meeting of young basketball players in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy).
The students’ meetings were organized by the KLARIS Association for Social and Cultural Promotion (Udine, Italy). Our partners in the project were the Sports Center of University of Udine (Udine, Italy) and the Sports Club of the Mining and Metallurgical Academy (AGH) (Krakow, Poland).
Within the program of meetings of young basketball players, teams of partner universities receive thematic training, classes in circles, give visual presentations and participate in various types of sports events (basketball matches, classes in sports sections).
As the rector of the university Professor Igor Tsependa notes, such youth projects are an effective form of development of international cooperation between higher education institutions of different countries and the university will continue to facilitate the implementation of such students’ projects.
