Scientist Tetyana Tatarchuk won the award “For Women in Science”

There have been announced the names of three among TOP-10 L’Oréal-UNESCO “For Women in Science” award winners in 2020. One of them is Tetiana Tatarchuk, Associate Professor of the Chemistry Department, Natural Sciences Faculty, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

We congratulate her on the victory and wish her creative energy and further accomplishments!

The rest of the prize winners are Olha Kopach (O.O. Bohomolets Institute of Physiology of NAS of Ukraine) and Maryna Nesterenko (Institute of Mathematics of NAS of Ukraine).

Tetiana Tatarchuk’s Hirsch-index equals 20, she has 1100 citations and more than 50 scientific publications ( in the journals included into the international database Scopus). The researcher is the head of the Scientific Centre of Chemical Materials Technology and Nanotechnologies.

In 2020-2021, Tetiana Tatarchuk has been realizing the bilateral Ukrainian-Polish scientific project “Photocatalytic Hybrid Systems for Water Purification”, with the scientists of Jagellonian University (Krakow, Republic of Poland).

It should be mentioned that in 2018 the Ukrainian Award which is a part of the global Programme L’Oréal-UNESCO “For Women in Science” was introduced. Since 1998, the L’Oréal Fund and UNESCO have been supporting and awarding talented women-scientists and encouraging young women to choose science related jobs, and helping them in their careers.
