Associate professors of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics and Methods of Teaching of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics Olesya Vlasiy and Olga Dudka together with students majoring in Secondary Education (Informatics) Lesya Stepanchenko, Maria Vynnychuk, Khrystyna Harazd and Olga Lishchynska joined the European initiative Meet and Code which is implemented in Ukraine by the GURT Resource Center with the support of SAP.
As part of the initiative, together with partners Code Club Ivano-Frankivsk and Ivano-Frankivsk IT Cluster, professors and students held a number of events for the secondary schools students not only in Ivano-Frankivsk, but also in other cities of Ukraine.
They conducted an all-Ukrainian online Learning to program while traveling! Online courses Modeling 3D objects in Tinkercad and Girls programming Android applications . More than one and a half hundred schoolchildren took part in the events.
Participation in the European initiative was a good experience for us and our students and we are grateful to our partners Code Club in Ivano-Frankivsk region and Ivano-Frankivsk IT Cluster for active support, thanks to which the participants of our events received memorable gifts – said the initiator and coordinator of the events Olesya Vlasiy.
