On March 10-13 the team of the Center of Innovative Educational Technologies “PNU EcoSystem” conducted advanced training courses on the topic: “Digital technologies in distance education” for teachers of preschool and general secondary education institutions of Beloberizka United Territorial Community, Verkhovyna district and Kosiv Lyceum № 2 named after Mykhailo Pavlyk of Kosiv city council of Ivano-Frankivsk region. 73 participants took part in the trainings. The courses were conducted online using Cisco WebEx video conferencing platform.
The speakers of the event were: Director of the Center, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Olena Budnyk, Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors Inna Chervinska and Tetyana Blyznyuk, and Senior Lecturer, Deputy Director of Ivano-Frankivsk Vocational College Yaroslav Nykorak. The subject of the discussion were issues of innovative processes in modern education, societal challenges of distance and blended learning, the use of Smart-technologies in the educational process, digital tools for creating simple and complex infographics, research methods using virtual laboratories, formative and summative assessment of learning outcomes, development of critical thinking to counteract manipulations and fakes in the media space, etc.
According to Halyna Dmytronyak, Head of the Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of Biloberizka united territorial community, the material presented at the courses is innovative and useful for teachers in quarantine and distance learning. Besides, she pointed out some difficulties in using digital technologies teachers face in remote mountain schools. Vasyl Hostiuk, Headmaster of the Mykhailo Pavlyk Kosiv Lyceum № 2, noted that the courses were held at a high level and stressed further cooperation.
According to the results of the advanced training courses, all the participants will receive certificates of pedagogical training (30 academic hours).
