Student Nadiya Abramchuk has won the International Conducting Competiton

A few days ago Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University (Kropyvnytskyi) hosted the IV International Student Scientific and Practical Conference “Artist with a Ukrainian song in the heart”, dedicated to the 100th death anniversary of Mykola Leontovych and an online competition of conductors. Nadiya Abramchuk, a first-year student of Educational-Scientific Institute of Art represented Precarpathian National University at the events. (The class of Zhanna Zvarychuk, the associate professor of the Department of Music Education and  Conducting Methods and Olga Smolnytska, the accompanist).

 It is gratifying to note that our student Nadiya Abramchuk won the competition of conductors and was awarded with the Laureate Diploma of the I degree. Her performance program was prepared with the participation of Inna Chikiris and Olga Smolnytska, the concertmasters of the Department of Music Education and  Conducting Methods. The chairman of the jury, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor of M. P.  Drahomanov National Pedagogical University, A. Kozar admitted the high level of professional training and performing skills of the contestant from Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

 Regarding the conference, it was attended by 34 participants (the students of bachelor’s and master’s degrees) from Ukraine and Poland. They had the opportunity to share their research work concerning the great Ukrainian composer – Mykola Leontovych, the author of the world-famous “Shchedryk”.

Nadiya Abramchuk, a first-year student of Educational-Scientific Institute of Art of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, made a report “Stylistic features of the spiritual heritage of M. D. Leontovych” at the conference. Scientific advisor – Zhanna Zvarychuk, the candidate of the history of art, the associate professor of the Department of Music Education and  Conducting Methods of Educational-Scientific Institute of Art.
