Polish partners assisted with the energy autonomy of the observatory on Mount Pip Ivan

Today, January 16, a Polish delegation led by the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Lviv, Eliza Dzvonkiewicz, visited Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. They met with the rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Ihor Tsependa, and the head of the Department of Biology and Ecology, Associate Professor Myroslava Mylen’ka.

During the meeting, an official summary of the joint project with the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Lviv was presented. The project supported the autonomy of the ecological-climatic monitoring post of the International Scientific Center “Observatory” of Precarpathian and Warsaw Universities on Mount Pip Ivan. As part of this project, an independent energy source was provided for the observatory (11 kW solar panels).

The project, titled “Ensuring energy and IT autonomy of the ecological and climatic monitoring point of the observatory on Mount Pip Ivan”, was funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland as part of development cooperation. Funding totaling over 26.5 thousand euros was provided under the Polish Assistance program.

The guests visited the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, where they were shown the service equipment of the ecological-climatic monitoring station on Mount Pip Ivan Chornohirskyi and were presented with its work.
