Ukrainian and European Universities Unite to Implement International Projects

Today the Centre for educational technologies “PNU EcoSystem” of the Precarpathian University held a round table “Facilitation of universities’ efforts to develop internationalization” in hybrid format.

The participants of the event included the rector of the Precarpathian National University Ihor Tsependa, vice president of Europa-Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt Dagmara Jajeśniak-Quast, co-head of the Consortium of the University of Warsaw and Ukrainian universities Jan Malicki, director of the centre for Polish and Ukrainian studies of Europa-Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt Andriy Portnov, rector of Kherson State University Oleksandr Spivakovsky, rector of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University Volodymyr Buhrov, rector of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Tetyana Kahanovska, rector of Mariupol State University Mykola Trofymenko, rector of Bohdan Khmelnytsky Cherkasy National University Oleksandr Cherevko, vice rector of scientific-pedagogical work of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University Inna Stepanets and international cooperation vice rector assistant Oleksandr Hryshko, scientific work vice rector of Zaporizhzhia National University Hennadiy Vasylchuk.

“Today’s event is uniting not only Ukrainian universities, but also Europa-Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt and the University of Warsaw. The main idea is to unite the efforts in the implementation of various international projects with the participation of German, Polish, and Ukrainian universities. Especially, in various subjects, such as law, cultural studies. This is important in the development of the themes related to the European Union subjects, grants that will be aimed at the preparation of experts for the EU-Ukraine negotiation process. I am confident that a number of big subjects that we have discussed will be implemented. We are thankful to the participants of the round table who are willing to share their opinions on the implementation of joint projects of our universities,” this is how PNU rector Ihor Tsependa explained the aim of the event.

The beginning of the round table included the discussion of the proposals on the development of cooperation between Ukrainian universities and Europa-Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt, namely with its Centre for Polish and Ukrainian studies.

On the same day, PNU rector Ihor Tsependa also signed an agreement of cooperation with the rector of Mariupol State University Mykola Trofymenko. The aim of the agreement is to provide for the national ECTS mobility, the aim of which is to exchange experience to improve teaching quality, and also the integration between science, education and practical application of knowledge, mutually beneficial combination of scientific capacity with practical experience, meeting the demands and requests of the departments.
