The university taught robotics and programming free of charge

The students of primary school of Ivano-Frankivsk were the guests of the university.They were very excited to learn how to create robots and program them with LEGO WeDo 2.0 designers.The event was conducted by the candidate of technical sciences, software engineer of the Center, and senior lecturer of the Department of computer Engineering and Electronics Mykhaylo Kotyk.

Deputy Director of Lyceum №5 of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council Ruslana Viznyuk said:“It is important that children work on solving practical problems in pairs, implement their ideas and jointly achieve the final result.They developed their design skills and expressed a desire to engage in robotics in the future, so they were looking forward to asking about the next classes.”

Cooperation with primary school teacher №26 of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, laureate of the prestigious Global Teacher Prize Ukraine award Alisa Pavlyuk has been going on for several years now.

Working with the team of the “PNU EcoSystem” Center as part of the Erasmus+ KA2 project “Modernization of Pedagogical Higher Education by Innovative Teaching Instruments – MoPED” (№586098-EPP-1-2017-1-UA-EPPA2-CBHE-JP), Ivano-Frankivsk teachers successfully apply the best European experience, digital resources and tools, in particular, the go-lab platform for teaching STEAM subjects in their teaching practice.
