Cooperation of Precarpathian University with the University of Applied Sciences in Koblenz (Germany)

Halyna Mykhailyshyn, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, took part in a meeting with the administration of the University of Applied Sciences in Koblenz — Hochschule Koblenz (Koblenz, Germany).

The partner university was represented by Prof. Armin Schneider, dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences; Prof. Marc-Ansgar Seibel, deputy dean; Prof. Marion Felder, international representative from the Faculty of Social Sciences; Alexandra Allmann, Master of Atrium, teacher of special disciplines at the Department of Social Work; Mrs. Anne Quander, Head of the University’s International Office; Peter-Erwin Jansen, Master of the Atrium, teacher of special disciplines at the Department of Social Work.

The translator was Olga Helbach, a senior teacher at Carl Benz School (Koblenz, Germany), a graduate of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss areas of cooperation between the two educational institutions. The German partners expressed their readiness to cooperate with Precarpathian University, in particular, with the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work. At the invitation from the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Halyna Mykhailyshyn will give a series of lectures for the Faculty of Social Sciences. Peter-Ervin Jansen, a teacher of special disciplines at the Department of Social Work, offered to deliver a course of lectures for the students of Precarpathian National University.

Prof. Bundshu expressed his interest in cooperation with Ukraine and Precarpathian National University and is ready to visit the university in order to present the KOALAS project for the cooperation between Ukrainian and German schools.

The participants of the meeting also discussed the organization of a joint international scientific and practical conference “Theoretical, methodological and practical problems of social work” on 19 May, 2023 and possible funding programs to support cooperation, including the academic mobility of the university staff and students.
